Keith Bowen gave a lecture on "The Integrated Resource Plan", the key long term planning document for electricity in SA, on the 13th of February, 2014. Keith Bowen is Chief Advisor, Power System Economics in the Energy Planning and Market Development department in the Transmission Division of Eskom. In this role he supports the Integrated Resource Planning (generation expansion) processes, particularly in scenario development and decision support. Keith is responsible for developing wholesale pricing mechanisms, supporting internal transfers within the vertically integrated utility, and payments to independent power producers. Keith Bowen has a Masters in Economics from the University of Witwatersrand and has previously worked as a competition economics analyst.
